A handful of modelers in Louisiana and Texas have been developing software that can help modelers called Socratic Brain.  Socratic Brain handles assessment and reassessment, and provides real-time progress reporting and personalized homework assignments for each student.  It also integrates face-to-face informal assessments and hand-graded assessments of constructed response work into a Standards-based gradebook.
