Using colors to communicate learning pace

The students' dashboards show them how well they are keeping up with the class pace using colors:
  • Red = behind class pace
  • yellow = on pace
  • green = complete
  • grey = not started by the class
The teacher controls this with the pacing dashboard. Each class and unit has a separate dashboard.

The student's dashboard will always turn green once the student has mastered the Learning Target level via a quiz in Socratic Brain or being "Leveled Up" by the teacher. If they have yet to achieve mastery:
  • "not started" will cause the button to be gray on the students' screens (ahead)
  • "in progress" will cause the button to be yellow on the student's screen (on pace)
  • "accountable" will cause the button to be red on the student's screen (behind)
