Chris Mabley

Former Head of School St Mark's, Southborough, MA

For the past 45 years Chris Mabley, has been an educator, serving as a teacher, department chair, head of school, and trustee at Noble & Greenough, St Stephen’s, St. Mark’s, Fay, and Trinity. He currently teaches high school math part-time at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. During the past few years he has piloted blended learning in his high school Algebra 2 class. Prior to his career as an educator, Chris was a United States Marine Corp Captain, serving in Vietnam.

Chris holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Mathematics from Bowdoin and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Cornell in Mathematics. He has continued to participate in competitive rowing, since his varsity days at Cornell.

Sr. Lynne Lieux, RSCJ

Headmistress of the Schools of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau, LA

Sr. Lynne Lieux, RSCJ is currently in her seventh year as Headmistress of Schools of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, which is co-institutional for girls and boys PK3-12. Sr. Lieux has worked in the Network of Sacred Heart Schools in Grand Coteau, St. Louis, New York, New Orleans, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo for over 25 years, having served as a faculty member, dean of students, upper school head and headmistress in these schools.

Sr. Lieux was instrumental in beginning one of the first of three one-to-one computing programs in the State of Louisiana in 1998 at the Academy of the Sacred in New Orleans, LA. Sr. Lieux is passionate about education and leadership. She enjoys looking for innovative ways in which learning for all students can be enhanced and made more relevant and interesting. 

Sr. Lieux has served on several boards of trustees within the Network of Sacred Heart Schools and on the Board of Trustees for Maryville University in St. Louis, MO. She is presently on the Board of Trustees of Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School in St. Louis, MO. She has also been a member of the Sacred Heart Commission on Goals Committee for the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.

Sr. Lieux holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Physics from Washington University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from Maryville University. Sr. Lieux is presently a doctoral student in Educational Leadership at the University of New Orleans. Her research and dissertation have focused on laptop programs in schools and the impact of leadership on these programs. She enjoys cycling, golf and flyfishing.

Rudy Pataro

Technology Executive, Ann Arbor, MI

Rudy Pataro has a proven track record leading technology organizations. He has almost 30 years of experience managing and overseeing software technology ventures, including both large company IT organizations and small privately held software firms. In addition to his financial and leadership support of ed-tech company Seelio he has delivered results at Fry Inc (Division of Oracle) and Border Group as President and CTO respectively. He is actively involved with several early stage software companies developing both business and consumer applications. Rudy is a forward-thinking leader who has proven adept at developing strategic plans, executing on the operational level and delivering results.

Rudy holds a Master of Science (MS) in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering from Lehigh University.

Stephen Collins

Founder & Managing Director, Socratic Brain, New Orleans, LA

For the past 18 years Stephen has been an educator, serving as a teacher and department chair. For the past 14 years he has also been developing and implementing software to enable more effective learning in the classroom. He has been invited to speak at national meetings of the American Association of Physics Teachers, the American Physical Society, as well as the University of Wisconsin.  His teaching has been recognized on a national level, garnering the Radioshack National Teaching Award and the Presidential Scholar Teacher Recognition Award.  On a local level, Stephen leads workshops in Modeling Instruction and curriculum and assessment development.

Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from Duke University, and a Masters in Teaching through the ACE program at the University of Notre Dame.

Michael Dolan

Managing Director, Socratic Brain, Austin, TX

Mike's passion for the education sector began while running technology businesses for Tusker Group, Toshiba, and Emerson as CEO, Sr. VP and GM, respectively. At all three companies, technology and education were key enablers.

In 2008 Michael acquired STI, an educational technology consulting business. Last year one of his client’s was struggling to find a standards-based assessment and reporting system that would free up class time for differentiated instruction and inquiry based learning. After struggling to find effect products in the marketplace, he met Stephen Collins who has developed software called Socratic Brain for his classroom. Intrigued with the opportunity to make Socratic Brain accessible to teachers and students everywhere, they formed Socratic Brain.Mike's client adopted Socratic Brain for Physics this year and Mike is teaching one of those classes to facilitate this opportunity. 

Mike holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master (MS) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering from the University of Michigan.
